There’s something rather magical about Christmas at the pub – especially at Double Locks. Tucked alongside Exeter’s historic ship canal, our cosy canalside pub was made for winter gatherings, with crackling log fires, twinkling lights and plenty of festive cheer.
Whether it’s a pint with old friends, a long, lazy lunch by the fire, or a lively get-together with the whole gang, we’ve got cosy corners and festive spaces for celebrations big and small.
Gather around our seasonal Christmas menus, filled with hearty festive favourites and all the trimmings, from indulgent three-course feasts to generous sharing boards, best enjoyed with something sparkling from the bar.
Planning something bigger? Our heated marquee and stretch tent, dressed with festive lights and cosy blankets, make the perfect spot for larger parties and Christmas celebrations in Exeter.

Our permanent Marquee is a fully heated with a paved floor and its own fully stocked bar. This event space is perfect for larger Christmas parties or corporate events.

Come rain or shine, our heated and covered stretch tent will be there to welcome you. Decorated with twinkly lights with cosy blankets aplenty – we even have hot water bottles to keep you toasty. The perfect space for a festive party with work colleagues or casual catch-ups with loved ones.
